this is really very very cool....

this is really cool, but the experiment is flawed. Bricks do not get all thier structural stability from gravity, though it does play a part. It is the mortar and the interlocking pattern of bricks, as well as the square shape, combined with gravity, that give it strength. Do the experiment again, but this time, give it 4 walls and put some mortar in it. That brick house would have saved the pigs darnit.

Yeah, the test is kind of a joke but the cannon impressive. We need a video on how to build one.

If it doesn't kill them it might make them cry louder.

I would imagine they probably initially had a somewhat structurally sound four-sided house of bricks, but judging from how it barely nudged over the top portion of the unsound version, it probably didn't do a darn thing to the four-sided version, and that's just not good television :-P.
Still, an awesome concept and pretty entertaining to see new ways of destroying innocent haystacks.
