"Fallen Princesses"
Have you ever noticed that the cartoons of Walt Disney have virtually nothing in common with the true meaning of fairy tales by the Brothers Grimm or Hans Christian Andersen? Happy endings, much less marrying a handsome prince to the accompaniment of friendly forest-minded little animals are very rare. As a rule, none of these tales can include dealings of injury or permanent death. In her project: "Fallen Princess", Canadian photographer Dina Goldstein attempted to return the tales' brutality, moving bright Disney Princesses with you into our dimension. What would be the fate of all these beauties if they were subject to the commonest life of most ordinary women?

Ya know, with all of my recent Disney posts, those above still, and those prior:
Alice Snow White Silly Princesses Kim Kardashian Zombie Princesses Ghoulish Princesses I found that there was one character that was mainly absent from such portrayals: Tinkerbell Now I have a reason to feature this: source / author unknown

Carnival 2010 ; courtesy of 'The Big Picture'
Once more, it is Carnival Season in many countries around the world with a Roman Catholic heritage.
Celebrations and parades are put on just prior to the observance of Lent. Over the past few weeks, parades and celebrations have taken place throughout Europe, the Caribbean and South America. An estimated 730,000 foreign tourists, many fleeing snowy conditions in Europe and the United States, traveled to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for this year's celebrations. Collected here are a handful of images from some of the elaborate celebrations of this spectacular annual Carnival season. -- [39 photos total] A masked reveller poses in Piazza San Marco during the Venetian Carnival in Venice, Italy on February 6, 2010. alright, I'm tired of having these links/images just burning a hole into my notes, so I'll post all the examples of 'Superhero cosplay' I have at the moment.
Some are bad, some are good. I don't care to determine which are which. Enjoy. Fubiz™ - Jonathan May The above is a capture from the Superhero Challenge, which saw runners in superhero costumes running for charity in Brighton on April 26th, 2008. Galeria

as a "catgirl" - if you don't know about this very, very niche theme, then good for you. It's very big in Japan, though. snapping a shot of herself as the green-skinned alien in Star Trek (which she somehow was cut out of the story last minute) [popoholic.] previous portrayal: Kim Kardashian.

Unbelievably sexy, even for an anime girl. Post edit: Aparently, the character above is called 'Yoko Littner', hailing from the anime "Gurren Lagann". More here: "Yoko Anime"
