I don't know why I hadn't thought of Boston before -- it's one of my favorite sites now, after I discovered it last October. Hopefully this one works correctly (and wasn't posted before now): http://www.fuckthemeat.com/msnbc/bd/3.jpg ---------- Post added at 09:33 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:31 PM ---------- ah, annotations: Lighting strikes over buildings in Nanjing, in China's eastern Jiangsu province, on Aug. 1, 2006. Hm. Quite interesting. I just learned less than a minute ago that Josef Hoflehner, was once named "Nature Photographer of the Year" (2007).

http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z...7_201214-1.jpg God Plays Through ; PHOTOGRAPHY by Gene Lower ; winner of the SDX 2001 Awards, Category "Sports Photography" BIOGRAPHY: Gene Lower is an award winning freelance photographer based in Phoenix, Arizona. Photographic coverage ranges from sports, events, portraits, weddings and scenics. His photos have appeared in major international magazines such as Sports Illustrated and Time, as well as top-notch newspapers including the New York Times, LA Times, and London Sunday Times. Lower's philosophy is to capture the essence and personality of his subjects while portraying them in a unique way. He provides a comfortable environment allowing every client to relax and feel at ease in front of the camera. Lower takes an easygoing, laid-back approach so that he can get to know his subjects and their objectives for the photographs — while at the same doing whatever it takes to get the shot — passively aggressive. -- via Sports Illustrated HotShots (c. 2004), Slingshot Photography, IconicPhotos.com, and The Society of Professional Journalists |

Too close for comfort! by Teresa L James author's notes: I thought it would be cool to take a photo of lightening so I had the shutter open for 30 seconds. I was out on my back porch when the lightening struck soooo close ...needless to say I jumped...therefore the poles moved in the photo..I don't think I'll do this again unless the storm is a loooong way away! geo-date notes: Taken on August 11, 2009 ; Taken in Vici, Oklahoma |
Those are great, but I've been inside two places that were struck. Talk about scary...
