The sky calls to us ...

This needs a bit of explanation, but crazy only begins to describe it.
The Hubble Deep Field image is one of the most distant pictures into the universe ever taken, meaning that the most distant objects appear as they did shortly after the big bang. It is an unremarkable section of the sky within the Ursa Major (big dipper) constellation, meaning it is representative of any similar picture that would be taken of any section of the sky. Of over 3000 objects visible in the picture, approximately 20 are stars, the rest are galaxies. The image is 2.5 arcminutes across, making it approximately 1/12 of the diameter of the full moon in the sky, or 1/28,000,000th of the sky. The following attached images are a pair of political prisoners forced by China to dress as pandas and sent to Taiwan, claimed to be real pandas, a Chinese circus featuring bears on horses. China is fucking weird. The last is the Emir of Bukhara, the last descendant of Ghengis Khan to rule a country. His picture was taken in 1911 with three photographic plates and red, green, and blue filters. The resulting pictures would be projected with the appropriate filters to create a color image. This picture is those three layers digitally combined. You probably didn't know it, but color photography has been around since the 1800s. |

Damn, MSD.
Those are beyond my scope of indicative-excellence. Thanks.

these are paintings, not photos, but they sure are weird. It took until more than halfway through before I realized this wasn't a parody but an attempted exaltation. Politics makes people nuts sometimes.

Those unicorn paintings are definitely odd.
Here's a goofy one:
