Wow. That's really gross. Seriously, people, clean up a little before you put new carpet down.

Who knows who was living there first. And who knows what state of mind they were in when they had the area covered. Would you be able to clean up the remnants of your loved ones after they blew their head off? You'd have to. Unless you called in some sort of crime scene clean-up service, which doesn't run cheap.
It's horrifying, but thankfully fixable. I'd just leave it at that imho. |

as long as you get rid of the old people smell then it should be fine to live in
to be honest if this happened to me i think i would be quite excited, its not everyday you come into contact with a dead human/remains. i'm pretty sure you can win the cost of getting the clean up done easily aswell as compensation for wrong information. |

I've been around death a lot. Homicides, suicides, accidents you name it. Myself I'm all full up on death and would have passed on the house. Maybe that will change over time but right now I'm full.
I doubt they'll do much for him. If they pay for the clean up they're admitting a wrong, possibly a legal wrong. I'd be willing to bet an attorney would tell them to decline paying any compensation. Or demand a wavier of future rights if they do pony up for any cleaning or repairs.
