Literal Videos
So instead of the lyrics to the songs they are replaced with a literal translation of what's happening in the video. For me, I had forgotten how weird the video for Total Eclipse of the Heart was...

I don't think I have ever laughed as much at a YouTube video as I have at Total Eclipse of the Heart translation.

I forgot how utterly stupid the Total Eclipse of the Heart video was. Or blocked out, maybe. This, to me, just highlights the sheer lunacy of the eighties as a decade.
Wasn't as impressed by the other one, though. I thought REM would work for this, but the execution was a bit lacking.

I was just on my way here to post this! Grrrr.
Anyway, Total Eclipse had me laughing my ass off. "It started off as Hogwart's, now it's Lord of the Flies..."

Total Eclipse of the Heart
- There is no doubt that had I watched that video as a young lad I'd most certainly be left traumatized; I might have glinted some just now. I've never been so happy to be a child of the radio before as I am now. Losing My Religion - The audio quality was bad; the dubbing and shtick found within was even worse. If I had liked this video at all before today, it's all but gone now. Take On Me - Wow. A great concept video originally. Now, I believe the re-dub could hold its own as a verifiable hit. It's a smash! Under The Bridge - It was average. This was the easiest song to translate; maybe too easy.
