I have a theory. It goes like this:
Musicians are assholes. Guitarists doubly so. Most of the guitarists you meet are complete pricks. I figure the reason that most guitarists are so mean and evil is because they're pissed off and disappointed. See, I figure most guitarists start in their mid to late teens, and the reason any teenage boy does anything is to get chicks. So when they learn guitar and realize that it doesn't actually get you laid, they get pissed off. But by then they've invested so much time and effort into learning guitar that they just continue with it anyway. Result is you have a bunch of guys who play guitar and who are pissed off. Or maybe I'm wrong. Maybe guitar does get you laid, and I ought to pay more attention to that video.

Guitars are okay. I'm a saxophone girl, myself. Now those can make a girl swoon.

I like listening to a good pianist. I have a cd in my truck (alas, unopened; you just reminded me that I have it).
Hubby used to play the sax in his teens and into his early 20's. I swooned when he played for me. But we didn't even date until about 10 years later.

Would any of you believe that poets used to be like rock stars?
