I accidently... The entire internet in a shipping container
So this flashed on my screen about a hour ago and I found it to be interesting. In the era of feeling so open and connected with people from all around the world it seems a bit odd to imagine that all that ever is and was on the internet is now being archived inside one single shipping container.
Sorry for the large run on sentence, and I hope this article is interesting to others as well it fascinated me. Storage: Sun Storing The Entire Internet In a Shipping Container

So is there some giant conspiracy against me or something? I figured at least ONE person would find this interesting enough to comment on. Did I post it in the wrong place? Meh... oh well.

I have a huuuuge question about this.
The RIAA will sue your ass if they think you are downloading songs, yet Sun has the whole internet? How is this remotely legal with all the copyrighted stuff out there. I have a friend who works for a tech giant and they were working on a project whch he said would download the entire internet every few days. I would say "illegally downloading the whole internet" he found this amusing. |
