The half-million-dollar shot: probably one of the best pranks you'll ever see
|
after a shitty hard days work..this just made my day!
thanks BG! |
With friends like that.....dude, the ultimate shame....
|
I bumped into Amir at a burger shop in SoHo about a year ago and commented to him how great the prank wars were. This by far is on par with the Yankees prank, but it is a bit more "polished" since it seems a bit more corporate and less "off the cuff" as far as cameras etc.
Great prank, Skogafoss had to come into the living room to see why I was laughing so loud. |
Friggin perfect. I'm still amazed at how convincing the entire stadium was. I can't wait to see the next prank.
|
Absolutely hilarious!!!!
|
Only and a true friend could get away with that, classic.
|
That was awesome! I'm impressed with the crowd, they went along with it great!
At least they're funny on the internet, because their show on MTV is terrible. |
Brutal, and awesome.
|
what an asshole. mean. not funny
|
Oh yeah...class act all the way.
I could see the pain in the friend's face even when he was denying he wasn't upset.. Anyone who finds this funny: is a gutless sadist who loves to live a cowardly vicarious life. Pathetic. |
interesting... I think you guys who dislike it should actually see the whole series which culminated from simple things like adding the sex audio mixed into his ipod to a fake marriage proposal...
|
As a stand alone prank...I would no longer associate with someone who did that to me.
....Considering the history it's hilarious. |
yeah, those guys have been going at it a while, and they're okay with the boundaries that they've set.
|
I must have been in a weird mood last night.
My post was a bit over the top. That sort of humor I have never cared for, and still don't, but Cyn's explanation of their history together clears things up a bit. |
No, this is the greatest prank you'll ever see:

It wouldn't play for me, it said the video wasn't available for my country or domain so I had to google it, but that was funny as hell.
|
I think if people have this kind of relationship, then they get what they get. Personally I have never desired nor had that kind of relationship with anyone. I never will.
Started to watch this video up to the point where the proposed prank was described, then shut it off. No need to see that sort of "fun". I have seen people ruin relationships and make their work environment a living hell because of this stuff. I still have back problems 10 years later from a "practical joke" played on me at work. Thisclose to smashing the woman's face who pulled it, and only pulled back because I knew it would impact on my family - I couldn't justify lose my job and have all the court problems that would follow if I gave the thoughtless bitch who pranked me a dose of what I oh-so-strongly felt. I had to think of my kids. I have absolutely no idea what she was thinking of when she fucked with my office chair, because it has always been very clear to anyone I work with where my boundaries are. I have never watched those "punked" shows. Dislike the kids versions that are on the air these days. Find "Americas Funniest" with this stuff on it very painful to watch. Not for me. |
+ 1 with lots of zeros following.
I am saddened by people that get off on seeing other people in pain, embarrassed, etc. I thought we humans were evolving...I wonder. Looking at it from a historical sociological perspective, it seems like people want to revert to passing the popcorn while watching public hangings/beheadings, and all the really funny funny stuff that took place in the Roman colisiums. |
People need an outlet. Before it was the Roman Colosseum. Now it's gore flicks. People enjoy, for the most part, seeing other people killed/tortured/maimed. It's the carnal kind of fun.

Can I offer an alternative view of this thing? I can't say this for the marriage proposal prank, that just seems excessively risky in terms of the relationship. But I think I'd kind of love it if somebody manufactured for me the authentic experience of winning half a million dollars. And then to get it's just a joke, you know, before I've had time to go out and buy my yacht or anything. The guy's laughing at himself at the end there, it's clear he's got a sense of humor and is able to take this thing for how it's meant. I think it's kind of great, actually.
You guys are talking like the guy actually got hurt or something. You're taking us back to the Roman Coliseum, for god's sake. Nobody got hurt here. A guy had a few moments of total elation, followed by some embarrassment. At the end he's laughing. What's the problem? |
If this was me ........
Q: "What would you do with half a million dollars?" Me: "OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG ... listen James, your a crappy boss, yeah I'm saying it on national TV .. F'U man, and Lisa, I never enjoyed sleeping with you ... you can go to hell ... and John, I don't care if I live in your apartment for free I'm rich biatch!!!" Wow, glad it wasnt me!!! But non the less ... major funny stuff. I liked it and no one was hurt. |
Wow, these are close friends who enjoy having fun with each other. I can't believe you guys are getting worked up over that.

There's no real malice here. |
Kramus, I'm so sorry to hear that a work prank got you injured! That is never acceptable.
You have a much stronger will than me, I likely would have punched that woman. I have a very very close group of friends I grew up with. We regularly pull little pranks on each other, nothing damaging, just silly things. For example, I've always been the last person to a party, always late to get-togethers. So one time, they got me to arrive an hour early by telling me the wrong meet up time. It was hilarious, and it worked. I have them still do it to get me there on time! That aside, do they really give away THAT much money at basketball games? I hate basketball, never been to a game, so I'd never know. So from my ignorant perspective on the prank, I'd say Amir's an idiot to not catch the prank. And I've seen better. heh. Edit: Just watched the marriage proposal, aha. Terrible, but hilarious. Their reactions were perfect to the prank. That is an impressive prank. :P |

That number is not out of the ordinary. remember it is highly highly unlikely that the person will make the shot and they are insured. It's the same as a 1 million dollar hole in one promo at golf tournaments. |
this prank was his response to the marriage proposal prank. the girl actually said yes to the proposal. these two were on Jimmy Kimmel recently talking about it. they really love pranking each other. it really is nothing to get worked up over.
|
I feel sorry for the girlfriend.
And...payback is a bitch. |
Thats funny.
|
Nice work...
Is the whole series on you tube? cp |
