I wonder where that is built? It would be a pretty cool way for ski resorts to add to their summer business. A lot of them are opening up to the idea of year-round use with mountain bikers using the lifts to get to the top. This kind of thing would add to the fun for thrill seekers or non-bikers. Sure, the costs are more, but it sure would be a tourist draw to be the only resort around offering downhill rollercoaster rides in the summer.

I'd so ride that!
Does anyone know where that is? I want to ride that now and also bungee jump from that bridge that was on this season of the amazing race. EDIT: I think I found it. I wonder if someone can read enough german? To figure out where exactly it is and how much it costs. http://www.imster-bergbahnen.at/index.php?id=6 Last edited by lt1s10; 02-21-2009 at 10:55 PM.. |

We have something like that up here at Mt. Hood. It's called the alpine slide, but instead of roller coaster track, it's half of a concrete pipe all the way down, you get on this little sled deal that has wheels on it and you have a control stick that lets you control how fast you go down it. It has metal bars that go down and stop you if you want to slow or stop tho. It's a blast, and it is only there in the summer, gets covered with snow and filled in during the winter.
