The cops certainly appear to have completely overreacted.
That said, I'd like to hear the entire audio of what all parties said, minus the commentary from the British twit.

What's the back story on this, or the follow up? My read is the cops thought he was high, and then decided to administer taser when his feet were spread, which I think I've read can be interpreted as a sign the suspect might try to flee? Regardless, it would appear that they guy might have been a little tipsy (or nervous egads!)...but the taser bit was probably a little uncalled for. Unnecessary aggression on behalf of some police officers really does give the whole lot a bad image...it's really too bad. I assume if this has been posted to youtube that there is or will be a legal followup.

Really hard to know from a clip. What happened before? After? Seems pretty out of line to zap the guy from what was shown. Could be more proof that some people should find another line of work. Or maybe the guy asked them "Hey what that taser thing feel like?" In fact I think if you play it backwards you can hear him saying "Go ahead, tas me bro, tas me. Coe on guys tas me!!"
