the stereolab thread
having a used cd store not far can push you into a time warp.
i picked up an old stereolab record this afternoon and it made me remember how much i like them. so here are treats. add your own, if you like. the free design flourescences emperor tomato ketchup wow and flutter jean seberg retrograde mirror form noise of the carpet yay!

Nice tunes... cool synth sounds and sequences. The bassist reminds me of Chris Squire.
Did they produce their videos? Really liked the film and animation work.

i think the clips in the first post are all official---in the second, maybe 2 and 4 are.
i was listening to some neu! earlier and this older stereolab stuff comes straight out of that---the locked-in drumming and robotic low-end in particular. but i like the pitch-shifting they do (stereolab) and the synth thing more than neu!... more treats=more better.
