Still, there's something fascinating about this video. It's like a car wreck that you can't take your eyes off of. Plus, lasers make everything better -- even ill advised Namco-themed scarification.

Um.. yeah. I have tats, as in ink injected under my skin. And there's no way in hell you could talk me into doing that.

Seriously, who looks at an industrial etching machine and thinks 'wow, I want to stick my hand in there?'

It's different, I'll give 'em that. I don't really see the point in a tattoo you can barely see, but it's interesting. At least they're not amputee devotees.

I like that a lot. If I had access to a laser etcher I would consider doing this. Sure it hurts but so do tattoos. The big difference is this takes a fraction of the time a tattoo takes and there's no risk of ink poisoning.

The Mario back piece doesn't fit into that list though. It's a badass tattoo.

Of course, I do hold game tattoos a little close to my heart..... er arm.

I'm thinking this doesn't look permanent. Perhaps a month or so, then new skin replaces from below. I wish the article had more information. I tried searching over at BME, but no dice there.
