Pretty awesome and a bit scary at the same time.

That was pretty neat. Yeah, it is scary, too.

It is a crazy world we live in. It's pretty mind blowing to say the least.

i was pretty much left speachless and just a wee bit freaked. Its hard for me to believe the human race is advancing so quickly. Hell, i thought we were regressing.

::looks over and glances at a picture of friends::
...yeah, regressing.

but seriously, i dont know what to make of all of this, if its accurate that is.

Those fiber optics would be nice though.

I think we are witnessing the next 'industrial' revolution. The advent of PCs and the internet were life changing but nowhere near what will happen if the predictions in that video come true. Once we have computers that can exceed the capacity of the human brain - and cheap computers, at that - then we embark on to a whole new realm. Once the genie (this 'artificial life')is out of the bottle how will it be controlled? PCs today can automate highly defined mundane and repitive tasks with ease, but take PCs to the next level where it can create code and effectively make judgement calls that consider all factors including subjective issues, where will that lead us? Religion and government struggle today with the replication of physical life by artificial means. Replication of intelligence by artificial means will be their next struggle.

Make sure you tune in. Life is interesting. This will be part of our life.
