HAHAHA... Frogzilla.

Man, imagine the legs on that beast. Steak-sized portions.

Now I know what I heard- a collective lip-smacking sound from France.

Beelzebufo is my new hero.

I can't wait for the cheesy B movie: Jaws of Beelzebufo!

I suppose I dont really see the big deal with this.

This day and age are there not frogs down in the amazon that are nearly just as large? They eat small creatures, they're more like toads than frogs.

*edit*

Its africa,

Conraua goliath frog.

Quote:

The goliath frog, an African frog of genus Conraua, can grow up to 13 inches (33 cm) in length from head to vent, and weighs up to 7 lb (3 kg). It is the largest frog on earth and is renowned for its incredible leaping ability, leaping up to 20 feet in one bound[citation needed]. However, it is usually exhausted after two or three of these leaps. This animal has a relatively small habitat range, mainly in West Africa. Its numbers are dwindling due to habitat destruction and collection for the pet trade.

**edit #2**

I really hate news articles that split it into multiple pages with only a tiny link for the other pages....

Frog Legs Sauce Piquante

I'm imagining a whole new type of buffalo "wings" using the legs of these big assed frogs.

I bet in certain parts of the southern USA, a Buffalo Wild FrogLegs3 would be a big hit.

StellaLuna 02-19-2008 05:16 PM

Weren't they armor-covered, though? I'm thinking less buffalo legs, more boiled crawfish-style froggie noms. Boil 'em up, crack 'em open. Mmmmm...

edit: i tried finding pictures of fossils of massive 3 foot long land scorpians or the giant spiders and millipedes, but to no avial.

it seems 6' long spider fossils have been unearthed.

Creepy, huh.
