ahhh, I remember watching George on TV, but not live. My wrestling hero was Bruno Samartino and even though I grew up in a Polish neighborhood in Philadelphia, I did not like Killer Kowalski.

Since I was rather "portly" in my youth, but strong and tough, my buddies called me Haystack Calhoun's little brother as I kicked their butts ...figuratively speaking that is. Our wrestling was all in good fun, the rink was on the mattresses in my basement. |
