The Right Brain vs The Left Brain Test
The Right Brain vs The Left Brain Test
The woman shown is a silhouette, not sure if it is completely SFW. Initially, I saw her spinning counter clockwise, and the description uncannily accurate. It took me awhile to get her to spin the other way, but I did finally do it. Not sure what that means at all, except it made me dizzy.

I can't get her to spin counter-clockwise. And I often play that trick with radio broadcast towers while riding in a car; I get it to spin the other way, so that it looks like it is careening out of control. And as a kid I would 'flip' the airplane models that were suspended from my ceiling.
But this model: no. Only clockwise. I'm so right-brained that I'm falling over, apparently? Also no. I'm much more left-brained.

no clue why she is naked. To make it more interesting? Make you stare at it longer?
I cannot look at it anymore, it is making me dizzy. It was primarily counter clockwise for me.

I can flip it around at will... weird. I think the reason chickie is naked is because your brain interprets those visual cues more clearly than a skirt billowing away from her legs. You "know" where to see those curves and it's easier to trick your brain into seeing things a certain way.

I can only see her spinning clockwise. Can't get her to go the other way no matter how hard I try.

This has got to be a joke. I can't for the life of me get it to look counter-clockwise.
...it's a joke, right?

actually no wait, just figured out how to see her turn the other way, had to focus on the foot that's sitting mostly still. There was something funny about it that triggered me to switch directions. Last edited by Shauk; 10-09-2007 at 07:15 PM.. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

Crap. I can't do it! Even on my second try. I'll lose my mind if I keep staring at it. I must be a hopeless right-brainer.....

It appears clockwise for me whenever I first stare at it. Looking at the shadow and then looking back makes it counterclockwise. I don't think this test says much. It implies I'm inclined to be right brained so I shouldn't be too inclined towards science or math. Well, lets just say that don't fit me.

It just keeps switching on me. It was going clockwise when I first saw it then as I was reading the text I noticed it change directions.. It's really hard to tell which one way it is going the most..

Clockwise, but I can make her spin counter-clockwise if I try. Seems "backwards" to me, though, so I guess I'm right-brained. No surprise there.

got it to go the other(anti-clockwise)way....trick was to look at the stationary foot...as Shauk said....now I can switch back and forth at will...but it still starts out as "pro-clockwise"

Thanks for the stationary foot trick.
But something bothers me in both directions - her ponytail defies the effects of momentum no matter what way she is turning! Also, can anyone get her to do the windshield-wiper trick by switching direction every half-turn? I'm trying, can't quite get it yet.

At first anti clockwise, then I tried to unfocus my eyes with no result, so I tried thinking about math problems alternating with images in my mind of past vacations or places I used to live it worked she kept changing direction. Amazing Thanks I will show my wife when she gets home.

The only thing that would work for me is not looking directly at her. and letting my eyes go out of focus, focusing them instead on an imaginary dot closer to my face than the screen. Kind of like intentionally crossing my eyes.
But everytime I look straight at the chick, she goes back to clockwise. Try it, ng.

This is funny, the image was made by someone on Something Awful and I'm pretty sure they didn't ask him about using it. The trick to switching it (although I'm right on the line between left and right brain according to real tests, so maybe that 's why it's easy for me) is to look at the shadow and blink a few times.

Clockwise only. I've tried and tried but can't get her to spin the other way.

Counter-clockwise, but I didn't try to make her reverse directions. The odd thing is that some saw her spinning clockwise from the start. I guess it depends on your focus. I didn't notice her feet. I must have been distracted.......................................

Gaia, I hate you. My mind hasn't been fucked with to this degree in QUITE some time.
To begin, I couldn't see anything but clockwise. Now, it's difficult to see anything but counterclockwise, and when I can reverse it, it switches back. |

At first it was clockwise and i couldnt get it to go the other way. I closed my eyes and imagined something spinning counter-clockwise and then looked at it again, now it goes that way instead! But while staring at it i cannot get it to change. Very odd......

Totally clockwise... I can't even see her going counter clock, even though I know she ought to be able to. Which is strange since I am right handed... Hey Will, does explain why my handwriting sucks? I am using the wrong hemisphere to control my writing?
Nope can't make her go the other way. I keep seeing this in my head as I am slightly above her, and that is why her outstretched hand "lifts" when it goes "behind" her. I try to imagine being below her... But I guess I am not that submissive or haven't been to enough strip clubs.

This is the craziest fucking thing I have ever seen. I have two possible sultions. 1. She turns on her own on a random sting switching from clockwise to counter clockwise. 2. It depends on your angle of the screen. I had my girlfriend watch it at the same time I did and everytime she said it went clockwise I saw counter clockwise and wise versa. And theory?
