The Last Lecture
A dying college professor gives his last lecture.
http://link.brightcove.com/services/...ctid1199157902 This brought my day to a screeching halt. What would be your last lecture if you knew you were dying?

Oh, yeah. Caught that feature on ABC World News. He died young cause of a bout with some disease, if I recall correctly.
Inspirational and all, specifically mentioning the wall.

I'd tell everyone everything and I wouldn't censor it at all. It'd be like a dozen host posts worth of speaking, basically. Speaking of, we all miss you, host. I'd cover everything for the past 1600 years not skipping anything, speaking the best and most complete truth I can possibly muster.

What an awesome person. Facing certain death and he's as inspiring as anyone I've ever heard and at the same time not the least bit down.
I don't think I can imagine what I'd say because I'm not faced with certain death (at least not immedaite death, I hope). Once you have that knowledge I have to believe that your view of your life, of your world has to be different than it is otherwise. I doubt id I'd be an uplifting as the professor. |
