30 Days: An Athiest lives with Christians
I'm not a reality TV enthusiast by any means, but I really enjoyed this documentary show. I HOPE it's a documentary, at least. It's hosted by the guy who made Super Size Me. It's a rather touching story about an athiest who gets to spend 30 days with a christian family. Turns out much better than one would expect. Breaks a lot of stereotypes.

AHA! See? This is true Christianity! This is the stuff that so many of you guys rail against. Openness, honesty, and yet firm and uncompromising in their beliefs. This is what Christianity is supposed to be about. So often, critics of Christianity find those damning examples of so called Christians committing very unChristian acts, and then you paint all Christians with that negative brush. Well, this video is proof that there are true, genuine, Bible believing Christians who are not crazy, who are not fire and brimstone breathing fundamentalist freaks.
Thanks so much for posting this, Halx. I hope this thread generates some positive discussions about Christians and Christianity as it supposed to be practiced.

I am astounded at the incomprehension that the Christians appear to have about atheism.
I am also amazed to see the face of modern Christianity... It's very different from what I am used to and looks nothing like the religion I grew up with. It feels a lot more... desperate. Disconcerting.

Hey Daoust, how about you not paint all of TFP with the same broad brush you're accusing us of? I, for one, have never critisized "all" Christians. There are particular ones I've been very critical of, but I've never used the broad brush on the entire faith.
In other words, you're guilty of exactly what you're accusing everyone here of being guilty of. On topic, this episode isn't as interesting as other things this show has done.

I didn't put any parameters on 'who' I was accusing, Jazz. There are enough people on TFP who fit the description of who I was accusing. They know who they are. But it obviously it doesn't apply to everyone. If you fit under the umbrella of people who I was accusing, then so be it. If you've never been critical of Christians or Christianity, then I wasn't referring to you. So you have no need to worry, or criticize me.
