In the end i got what i wanted but i had to borrow the mop and tap the parts of the menu that i wanted. Humiliating in a country where people laugh at your nose, even if you're not doing anything stupid with cleaning tools. The moral of the story is however, us Westerners have this strange belief that the world will always want to adopt our culture, and so we will be understood - Not true, and China is one of the best places to learn that.
