I have been on two types of pills and the shot as well- there are side affects and differences in any birth control method you choose- I really would ask your gyno.
And I don't believe that Depo could cause one to 'become' sterile- it's possible she was like that before, and just discovered it when she was trying to get pregnant?
And I agree with siryn, if it's working, don't change it- most other methods are a hassle!
