I don't really care about shape, but I much prefer trimmed to long hair. Not so short that it's prickly, but no wild jungle either. I like there to be enough to play with
I like bald as well, but after trying it once myself I can say that I wouldn't wish that itching on anyone, and I would never ask a girl to do that (or wax, or one of the more extreme options) for me.
Speaking of which, on the old board there was a thread about the opposite -- what women prefer men to do with their pubes. Haven't seen it on here yet but I may just be missing it. Has it been resurrected?
