they are pretty close.
Top 50% pays 96% of the taxes
Top 10% pays 64.9% of the taxes.
Top 5% pays 53.25% of the taxes.
So the bottom 50% pay the other 4%.
The story is off by 10%, which doesn't change it at all.
By definition all tax cuts help the rich more since the rich are the only ones paying taxes, at least income taxes.
