I think another important thing to mention as a disadvantage to the LCD is contrast ratio...if you play games where scary things lurk in the shadows, you'll be lost.
I have a really cheap 17" LCD, and I use it for gaming, but those dark levels really suck...
In the future, I'm only going with CRT for gaming.
