Thomas Sowell is a very intelligent man. His perspective and impartiality will be attacked because he is quite right leaning. This, of course, doesn't change the fact that his arguments are highly reasoned and thoroughly accurate.
One of my favorite quotes comes from him...
"To say that someone has a `right' to any [affirmative material good] is to say that others have an obligation to expend... efforts on his behalf, without his being reciprocally obligated to compensate them for it.
