The golf. I got a 92 Passat. 203k+ miles on it and its still running like new. A couple problems with it here and there but with any car at 200k+ miles what do you expect? German cars are solid, Passats are the only car still made in Germany though by VW so they are made better, everything else got switched over to Mexico so they arent being made as well anymore. One thing though get a manual not automatic transmission. Automatic transmissions on VWs are way problematic.
