Blech. GM has really gotten into the whole idea of polarizing designs. They figure they'll sell more cars if they are such strong designs that you either love it or you hate, no middle ground. The few that love it will buy it in exclusion to all else, everyone else will despise it and they would likely have not bought it even if ther styling was more middle of the road.
The net effect is an erosion of design and aesthetics in automobile manufacture.
