throbbing gristle.. and perhaps WIRE .. would be the origin of industrial as far as I know.. then there were bands like Front 242, Nitzerebb, Skinny Puppy, Xymox,KMFDM,Front line assembly,meat beat manifesto,chris and cosy, Split Second, ... I could go on and on.
anyhow..yeah.. i still listen to some Industrial.. but more on the metal side.. but I listened to alot of it back in the late 80's early 90's
