Ok, let's back up a bit & get the idea fleshed out:
You've got a router of some kind attached to your ISP (cable, DSL, whatever). You also have (or want) a wireless router to attach to the first router, so you can run the wireless router somewhere else (in the house, building), and have the wireless act as an access point, then forward all traffic to the router connected to the ISP.
