The definition of rape is forced sexual penetration. This used to only mean vaginal penetration, but many countries have updated their laws to account for oral and anal penetration.
There is no such thing as "mental rape." Feminists and others who use such terms do themselves and the real victims a gross disservice.
I'm confused why you ask "what is the
media's definition", as if it's different from the legal definition. The definition of rape is clear. It's defined, usually in great detail, in the respective laws of each country (or state).
Media often "reports" that someone is
accused of rape, thereby easily bypassing their responsibility for fair and honest reporting and avoiding any vulnerability to slander actions. This doesn't devalue or deminish the actual definition in law, in fact and it shouldn't do so here.
