I just realized I am unable to run fdisk from the command line in win2k, so I assume it's the same in XP ?
With the drive attached, right click on My Computer, and select "Manage".
Cruise down to "Disk Management", and find the external drive.
You should be able to blow away the existing NTFS partition, then recreate smaller FAT32 partitions. I hope this helps.
