Option 1: NASA discovered something that we aren't supposed to see, pulled the plug, and it's sitting there doing nothing.
Option 2: It's still working, and we just don't know it because some government agency doesn't want us to know
Option 3: A country whose citizens can't figure out how to program their VCR's actually managed to screw up an interplanetary mission
Occam's razor, people, the simplest answer is probably it.
