I use 1600x1200 or 1920x1080 @ 75Hz. I've tried 2048x1536 @ 75Hz before but it's just too dense for me. I can't tell the difference above 75Hz, and only slightly between 60 and 75.
It helps to have an extremely large monitor for such high resolutions/refresh rate combinations, however.
