Larry Brown still doesn't have his player's attention, even after their 13 game winning streak, Chauncey and the boys aren't buying his game. THAT"S the thing that will put either NJ or Indy in the finals, because, when they are on, the Pistons can smoke anyone in the league.
I am impressed with the way the Nets have responded to the coaching change. I really thought that they were winning in spite of Byron Scott's coaching. Kenyon Martin will be the key to their success.
In Indy, I'm waiting for the real Ron Artest to rear hi psycho nature. O'Neal's maturity this season seems genuine, but Artest is still seething underneath, I think. The coaching in Indy has been GREAT!
Concerning the "dominance" of the Western Conference.... WAKE UP! The top teams of the west have been treated rather rudely when they've traveled east this season. Detroit, for instance, has beaten LAL, San Antonio, Dallas... and pressed those teams to the limit when they went west. Teh refs stole the Pistons game at Minnesota (Garnett and Cassel even apologized to Billups afterward).
There will be a truly competitive finals this year.
