Hmm...this is a really difficult question for me to answer.
All my life, I've been a Mustang guy. I don't like Chevys...especially the interior. But...god...there's no comparison if you want pure performance. Go with the Vette.
Personally, I'd only go with the newest of the C5 Vettes (2003/04).
But, in reality, if I was able to find a Cobra cheap(ish), I'd take that over the Corvette anyday, regardless of the loss in performance.
