I am back up and running. How simple the problem was. I didn't realize that virus program could create such a conflict. Don't think I believe much in those free trial periods anymore. Thats twice now I have had problems with something like in the last three years. Lesson well learnt! And I must have the the computer for dummies101 because I thought I screwed my system up but I am begining to think thats impossible. Tried running windows 98' and formating the C drive.. but everytime all I got was an invalid entry.

Edited to add: And to think I tried to screw it up after awhile . Hit every key on the keyboard. But much to my avail. It still runs!! Tonka toys behind Hewlett Packard as some kind of an investor or what?
