I couldn't find any doppelbock, unfortunately.
I tried this with Guiness, and it turned out to be pretty good. I also reduced the beer/juices into a sauce (added salt, pepper, a dash of cinnamon, garlic powder, onion powder and a shot of tabasco).
The sauce would make a great meatloaf sauce.
