i was raped when i was 17...
the hospital that i was taken to happened to be catholic...
the ONLY medication they would give me was amoxicillian... this was in an attempt to thwart off any possible std's... but also to ensure that i didn't take anything that would possibly harm a fetus...
waiting for my period to come felt like an eternity that i cannot describe...
luckily for me, i was not pregnant.
women's health issues (physical & emotional) are constantly overlooked, put on the back burner and discounted... this is yet another example... it's a long uphill battle... but i'm not giving up any time soon... *soft smie*
