I'm lucky, I don't have a Tv, so I don't have to see all those commercials. To be honest, I think it's just a fad that will fade away. I love going to lunch with a "low-carb co-worker" and ordering pasta and beer. Simply put, if you exercise and watch how you eat, who cares if you splurge now and then? The problem is, the vast majority of people on Atkins either splurges too much, or doesn't exercise much or at all. It's just a sign of how our society has progressed - people that work too many hours, eat crap and don't exercise. It's sad, we're victims of our own success.
But back to your original question, I'm sure there are a lot of people in good health (and especially health gurus) that are sick of all this low-carb stuff.
Personally, I have no problem with the Atkins, I have a problem with the perception created that carbs are bad. They always forget one key word - EXCESSIVE!
