All good advice. I was there for the Superbowl last year and loved it. Go to La Jolla if you get the chance--absolutely beautiful. Above all, get out and wander the city, you are bound to find some cool things. The Old Town is also good to check out. If you can afford it, try to get a hotel that overlooks the water--it is wonderfully beautiful.
