David Bowie.
Not because he's loaded now, but because he maintained his artistic integrity and usually did not suck up to the audience, except for a few sad occasions. He continued doing what he does best and most importantly, what he wants to do, giving little regard to whether it made him rich or not.
I never identified with politicians or such...
