So good, you bought the DVD
So my wife and I were recently out shopping in Grace Brothers, a large department store in Sydney. I always end up in the "media section", either browsing the Jazz CDs, the bookshop or perusing their DVD selection.
We ended up buying a few DVDs and it occurred to me to ask my fellow board members "What movie was so good that you bought the DVD?"
For the record, my purchases were as follows:
A Man for All Seasons
Breakfast at Tiffanys
Roman Holiday
The Mission
My Fair Lady
Non-movie DVDs I've bought recently include ALL of David Attenborough's nature series (Life of Birds, Blue Planet, Trials of Life, Life of Mammals, Secret Life of Plants etc), Sister Wendy's Story of Painting, Ken Burn's Civil War & Jazz and the World at War.
As you can see, I like my non-fiction! But there are some movies I just want to own. Strange, as I don't watch them THAT often...
Next on the purchase list is
Casablanca
The Lady Killers
Arsenic and Old Lace
I'm sure I'll find some others in the classics section...
Mr Mephisto
