Call Dell, ask for customer care. Tell them what had happened to you. I used to work for Dell in tech support ( shudder ) but I do know cust service is used to compromising all the time. If you plead your case, in some instances they will refund your money, they may not refund your money and instead offer a peace settlement ( ram, extended warranty, etc ) or possibly may go nowhere.
