Err...why? Because as the report says 'Bestiality is only illegal in some states in the United States?'
On a different tact here while I can't understand the thrill of having sex with an animal I don't feel morally superior about that fact. If some guy wants to marry and shag a cow then I say he should go for it. Not least of all because the cow would have a far better life than the one that would normally face it. In fact if you asked the cow whether it preferred the thought of getting it off a pervert a few times a week or been shocked and slaughtered in an abattoir then I really think the cow would go for the former no matter how well endowed the guy was. I mean vets go up to the shoulder when they examine their insides.
In fact if you could make cows understand the options properly of slaughter or sex you might find that cattle would take a lot more effort with their appearance. The idea of cows in a field with lipstick, high heels and fishnets, winking at people driving past certainly is an endearing one.
Where we get these morals from is a bit of a mystery to me. If I were to say to most people 'do you think that animals been sold for a life of bondage and snuff is wrong?' most people would yes. But what do you really think goes on in slaughterhouses? Are you part of a trade giving a profit to these activities by eating meat?
I think the offensive part is the pervert’s pleasure rather than the act itself, which is just plain shocking in most circles. (The act not the offence.) If people are going to take issue on the treatment of animals then their mass slaughter really should be considered over the impulses of some perv.
Obviously the idea of a cow is an easier way to make such an argument. If the guy has a thing for poultry then it's different matter. I heard about an act where some perv split a chicken in some old porn movie and had to hold it together with sticky tape (great product placement) in order to finish the job. Here the area gets a little grey, but maybe the chicken preferred to go that way than the conventional method. I doubt it of course, but without our moral stance it is unlikely that the chicken would have a preference for one over the other.
As to the link between child abuse and bestiality I think that is an interesting one that gives a reasonable objection to sex acts with animals. I can't help thinking that the need to control and dominate something is a worrying trait in humans. However that said if it is there then I would rather it was with a kangaroo or whatever than a child.
