As for
actual training programs for the players in the NBA, i doubt it. Occasionaly, i've seen on
www.nba.com do a quick coverstory/look at players during the off-season. Albeit, it isn't comprehensive nor specific enough to make any kind of routine out of. Remember that the players are paying (or the club is?) their personnal trainers to put together a good routine/work out for them. So they wouldn't want to release all this info for free
Anyway, for a while i've had
this site bookmarked and the general info on there is reasonably comprehensive.
The workout, wouldn't be
that disimilar from any other, however there is definitley an emphasis on strength endurance and power. So theres some more (speed as well) reps with mid-weight weights, as opposed to
just high weight low reps (slow). Also, any form of high intensity training is good, for short burts of power/strength. As this is what actually happens in basketball
in just milling about a bit on google i found this site as well, which you might want to checkout.
Here's another workout scheme and some other stuff on
jumping higher
So: Explosiveness, speed, and endurance. As for drugs or supplements, i am not really into much of that stuff, so i don't know? Like other than just eating stuff naturally found in food

Which suffices!!! Although someone else might want to inform you on that. That said, if this is only a bit of an amatuer thing, then i don't know why you'd spend a lot on supplements etc When you start getting paid for doing it maybe?
Although, make sure you stay inside the law though
