Thanks for the info..I only use MS because I have to learn the PC "way" so I can work on them. If the above comes to pass, I'll be TC at work, open source at home. I'll go back to using cash if I have to.
On the other hand, I may finally be able to order REAL entertainment on my box. I would love to pay a small, one-time fee to see the show I want, when I want, without commercials. With TC that may come to pass. It all depends on proper use of the technology.
Counting on Bill Gates to "do the right thing" regarding our rights is like counting on George Bush to handle Iraq skillfully- It may sound good on paper, and may even be a good thing in itself, but the devil is in the details, and profit mongers always have profit in mind, and consumers must take a stand to make the objectionable uses of TC unprofitable for MS.
Maybe TC is what we get for pirating so blatantly..The "Man" had to try something..We didn't really think corporations would stand by while citizens happily and freely traded copied merchandise, did we?
