If you never have really driven a bike before...take a motorcycle safety course..that will usually waive the road test at the dmv..plus you'll learn alot. For a bike get a bike around 300cc-750cc and you should be fine...don't get something too big or your asking for trouble...and get something japanese......the reliability and smoothness is so nice
