Your going to get so much more horsepowere and torque for so much less money than you ever would with the 3L. My only question is the weight discrepancy. What is the difference and which one is lighter. Fortunately its not uncommon for a V8 swap to be lighter. Interestingly, swaping a Small Block Chevy for a Jag V12 results in almost 300lbs. weight savings. and believe it or not swaping a Buick 215 (Land Rover 3.5/4.0) V8 for a BMC 4cyc. results in 200lbs. less.
