nowhere close. If it is said in such a manner as to
deliberately attack/offend/annoy someone without making a
meaningful and decent point in the conversation, it violates the rules.
Every topic will find a way to offend
somebody, but if it is done in such a manner to be emotionally-neutral yet intellectually intensive, that is perfect.
saying "your religion seems to be a misguided set of rules that are simply social control based on the lack of education of its followers" is pretty offensive, and could make quite a few people take a second look at what you and they believe.
