Shit, for that same $155, you could probably get an Athlon 1700 and a mobo to go with it. Or just find a cheap Socket A mobo and get a RAID card to go with it... I never much trusted those onboard things anyways.
Im surprised that your system got fried being connected to a UPS, they usually shield the computer from power surges. Was it plugged into a surge protector?
